Johann Szkudlarek - Rawicz

I recently found out that my great-grandfather, Johann Szkudlarek, was born in a little village near Rawitach or Rawicz, Poland in 1890. I do not know if he had a brother or sister, but as far as I can tell, he is the only one from his family that immigrated to the US. I would like to locate any family, living or deceased, to learn more about my family's history in that region.
Also, if anyone knows any history about Rawitach, or Rawicz, and the surrounding area, I would be interested learning more. Any good books or articles you could recommend would be helpful.

Ślub 15.02.1912 w Langendreer ? z Franciszek Szkudlarek z miejscowości Sowy pow. Rawicz.

Może to ma jakiś związek z Twoim Janem.
